My stay at La Casa del Zorro was absolutely delightful. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very clean, offering a quiet and comfortable retreat. The service was outstandingly friendly and helpful, from the housekeeping staff to the landscape team caring for the beautiful gardens. The location was fantastic, combining a warm and welcoming atmosphere with excellent restaurant service. The dining experience was satisfying, although limited due to current circumstances. The facilities were top-notch, enhancing my overall experience.

The hotel offers a mix of comfortable and uncomfortable experiences. While the courtyard rooms were quite comfortable, they had a persistent smell of old burnt wood and lacked proper maintenance. The service was outstanding, with friendly staff and nice amenities provided, though the location, albeit beautiful, was a bit far out of town. The dining experience was excellent, especially at the Fox Den Bar, but the facilities needed some attention.

Rooms

My room overlooking the courtyard was quite comfortable, but it had a constant smell of burned wood from a fireplace I didn't even use. The lack of maintenance was evident with filthy floors and furniture that I couldn't trust to sit on or put things on.
Service

The service at the hotel was simply amazing. The staff in the Jacuzzi was very cordial and welcoming, even accommodating our request to pack up breakfast choices to enjoy in our Casita.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is amazing with beautifully decorated lights in the surroundings that light your way at night and desert plants to admire. The ability to borrow bicycles to explore the desert was a nice touch, although being a few miles out of town was a slight downside.
Dining
8.0
Dining at the restaurant and the Fox Den Bar was a highlight of my stay. The food was good, served quickly, and turned out to be the best meal during my time at the hotel.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities at the hotel, especially the pools in the gym recreation area, could use some improvements. The lukewarm hot-tub and the quiet restaurant were pleasant spots, but they lacked proper heating and lighting.

8.2/10

My stay at the hotel was a mix of delightful and disappointing experiences. The rooms were beautifully appointed with quality amenities, but the strong mesquite wood smell from the fireplace was a bit overpowering, especially when the A/C was on. The service was top-notch, with the staff being incredibly accommodating despite a language barrier for some. The location was truly an oasis in the desert, complete with lovely walking trails and serene koi-filled streams. Overall, a great stay with a few room for improvement.
